Save Bookmarks from Chrome in One Click

The Save This One Chrome extension lets you save the current tab as a bookmark in one click. Add tags and notes without leaving the page. Works in Chrome, Brave, Arc, and any Chromium browser. Free to install and use.

Setup

You need your API token. In the web app sidebar, click the key icon, then Generate Token and Copy.

The extension is not on the Chrome Web Store yet. Install it manually:

  1. Go to chrome://extensions
  2. Enable Developer mode (top-right toggle)
  3. Click Load unpacked, select the apps/extension folder
  4. Click the extension icon in your toolbar
  5. Enter your API URL and API token, then Save Settings

Save a bookmark

  1. Navigate to any page
  2. Click the extension icon
  3. Add tags (optional)
  4. Click Save Bookmark

Troubleshooting

  • "Failed to fetch": API URL is wrong or the server is not running.
  • "HTTP 401": API token is wrong. Regenerate from the web app.
  • Extension not showing: Check Developer mode is on in chrome://extensions.
