Save Bookmarks from iPhone and iPad with Shortcuts

Save This One works with iOS Shortcuts so you can save links from the Share Sheet on iPhone and iPad. Find an article in Safari, tap Share, tap the shortcut, and it is saved with tags. Free.

Save links from Safari, Chrome, or any app with the Share Sheet. One-time setup, works everywhere.

Setup

You need your API token. In the web app sidebar (easier on a computer), click the key icon, then Generate Token and Copy.

  1. Open this link on your iPhone or iPad
  2. Tap Add Shortcut
  3. Long-press the Save Bookmark shortcut, tap Edit
  4. Find the Get Contents of URL action
  5. Under Headers, replace the Authorization value with: Bearer YOUR_API_TOKEN
  6. Tap Done

One-time setup. You're ready.

Save a bookmark

  1. Tap Share in any app
  2. Tap Save Bookmark
  3. Notification confirms it's saved

Troubleshooting

  • "Could not connect to the server": Check your internet connection.
  • No notification: Settings > Notifications > Shortcuts, enable notifications.
  • 401 error: Token is wrong. Edit the shortcut and check the Authorization header starts with Bearer (with a space).
  • Not in Share Sheet: Long-press the shortcut > Details > enable "Show in Share Sheet".
